
It has been said that the act of listening to music can be a form of meditation. Music has the ability to take you to places where you want to be. Music can also remove stresses from your life and have a soothing and calming effect.
Instrumental music has been said to bring on feelings/emotions that are far too deep for understanding. It provides an outlet for our pent up feelings by resonating in harmony with our emotions. Consider yourself lucky if you can find some vocal music pieces to coincide with your meditations.
There is no formal time of day or meditating position. Meditation music can have a variety of themes for you to chose from. One can practically meditate at any time and anywhere. All you need is an mp3 player! You can meditate while traveling on a bus, train or car. You can meditate while riding a bike or just taking a leisurely stroll through a crowded city. In the end, it doesn’t really matter where you are; the shear act of meditation prevents your mind from wandering off. Entering into higher states of consciousness can quiet the mind and soothe the soul all while reminding you of your connection with God, your spirit-man, the universe, your energy being or whatever it is you feel comfortable calling it.
