Meditation is an effective way to rid yourself of anxiety, anger, tension and a host of other unhealthy emotional states. It does this by taking you to a place of deep relaxation, mental clarity and focus.

You can create your own guided meditation technique. Find a trusted partner to help you reach a state of true peacefulness. Just by listening to soft, relaxing music and having your partner read a script of relaxing and peaceful images, should invoke feelings of inner peace. Find a nice quiet spot in your home where you will not be disturbed.

You can also find cds created specifically for meditations. There are many different varieties of meditation cds out there today that specialize in visualizations.
