Many people find meditation to be difficult because they just can’t turn off their thoughts. There is a big difference between average meditation and deep meditation. Both types of meditation require an equal amount of practice, however each will offer different results. Your average meditative process involves sitting for about 10 to 15 minutes with one’s eyes closed while concentrating on one’s breathing, the key is not to let the mind wander.

Deep meditation on the other hand can take years to master unless you know the proper techniques. There is a way to achieve serene deep meditation without devoting hours of practice. When beginning deep meditation one must insure they are sitting with the correct posture and are situated in an absolutely quiet environment.
